One of the biggest automobile company, Acura, retools its ILX, adding a few more features to the sedan. ILX debuted at the Los Angeles Show on November 20, 2014, introducing its advanced features and a more powerful engine. Due to arrive at the dealership next year, at Re-launch of Acura ILX the Acura General Manager, Mike Accavitti said, “Now it is a great idea fulfilled- a luxury vehicle for the next generation.”
Sharing its powertrain with the bigger TLX, the ILx also gets improved interior materials, bigger wheels and tires, and better equipment. Acura has not yet revealed its fuel economy or pricing.
ILX’s 2.4 liters four-cylinder engine is rated at 201 hp. With the automatic transmission that is found in Acura’s new TLX, ILX gets a slant toward performance rather than fuel economy.
The basic changes that have been brought to notice are that the front and the rear fascias have been redesigned and all the new models come with Acura’s ‘jewel eye’ headlights. Accavitti said that adding it looks like a baby TLX now.
Thicker front doors and a new active-noise-cancellation system can be the main attractions of this sedan. With this redesigning and remake, the ILX will certainly run with the traffic now.
