Initially, cars were used for simple transportation and delivering some heavy shipment. But the automobile industry has come a long way since its humble beginning. Now a day’s cars are expensive and fast, and when I mean fast they are freakishly fast. They have become so fast that will give you a chill down your spine when you ride in it. Today I will talk about the fast cars which you can buy with money; these machines have transformed themselves into beasts in the past decades. Today I will talk about four fast cars on my list. The speed of cars is given in a descending order.
Koenigsegg Agera R
The first car to grace my fast cars list is the Koenigsegg Agera R. Even though Koenigsegg is not a popular sports car brand like Ferrari, McLaren or Bugatti it has gained huge popularity in the last few years just by delivering its might and power. The Koenigsegg has a top speed of 273 miles per hour and is dubbed the fastest car in the world currently. Under the hood you will find a 5-Liter Turbocharged V8 DOHC engine which has a compression ratio of 9.0:1 and it produces 1200 pound-feet of torque with a horsepower of 1140, it goes from 0 to 60 miles per hour in less than 2.5 seconds and reach speeds from 0 to 186 mph within 11.7 seconds.
Hennessey Venom GT
The second fastest car in my fast cars list is the US made Hennessey Venom GT. Like Koenigsegg it’s also a relatively new brand in the market but has made a name for itself in the automobile industry. It clocks a top speed of 270 miles per hour and only 3 miles per hour shy of the fastest car ever made. The engine consist of a 7.0 Liter Twin-Turbocharged V8 Engine, it has a tremendous horsepower of 1,244 and torque of 1,155 pound-feet, it reaches 0 to 60 miles per hour within 2.75 seconds and accelerates from 0 to 200 miles per hour in 14.51 seconds.
Bugatti Veyron Super Sport
The third car on my fast cars list is the most awaited and coveted Bugatti Veyron Super Sport; it’s the fastest version of Bugatti Veyron up-to-date. Little known fact Bugatti is actually owned by the humble Volkswagen; previously Bugatti was an independent company. Bugatti Veyron was once crowned as the fastest car but the title was subsequently taken over by Koenigsegg. The Bugatti Veyron Super Sport has a top speed of 268 miles per hour. The Bugatti Veyron Super Sport engine is made of an 8-Liter Quad-Turbo W16 which generates a torque of 1,106 lb-ft and horsepower 1,200 HP, it reaches 0 to 60 miles per hour in 2.4 seconds.
SSC Ultimate Aero
The last car on my fast cars list is the SSC Ultimate Aero. It outlook of the car is out of this world; the SSC Ultimate Aero looks like that it came out of a James Cameron movie. Just by looking at the car you will know that its aerodynamics is out of this world. The SSC Ultimate Aero has an engine of 6.3-Liter Twin-Turbocharged V8 engine which produces a horsepower of 1,287 and torque of 1,112 lb-ft. The SSC Ultimate Aero has a top speed of 256 miles per hour and accelerates from 0 to 60 miles per hour in 2.9 seconds and from 0 to 200 miles per hour under 16 seconds. The SSC Ultimate Aero is actually owned by Shelby Super Cars which is owned by Ford. From 2007 till 2010 SSC Ultimate Aero held the Guinness World Record for the fastest car but the title was snatched by Bugatti Veyron Super Sport.
